If you’ve been following me for a while, you know I am a huge Van Gogh fan. I love his vivid colors and lines and the deliberate, bold way he represents what he sees.

The only time I feel alive is when I’m painting.

According to VanGoghGallery.com, Van Gogh completed about 900 paintings in his short life (he died at 37) and only sold one painting, The Red Vineyard,  before his death.

I reproduced five of Van Gogh’s paintings in 2012 for an event at The Gallery Upstairs in Bar Harbor, Maine. Here is my version of 3 Sunflowers in a Vase.
