Did you know…?

  • Giraffes’ tongues are 21 inches long?
  • They only drink once every several days and get most of their water from plants?
  • Just like snowflakes, no two giraffes have the exact same pattern, although giraffes from the same area appear similar?

I didn’t either until I started researching giraffes to help me come up with a name for this painting. I also didn’t realize giraffes had so many bumps and protrusions on their head and face. However, they were great fun to paint!
