If you saw the delightful film Midnight in  Paris last summer, you know Gertrude Stein hosted regular weekly gatherings of artists, collectors and other members of the Paris Who’s-Who of the time. The Metropolitan Museum of Art just opened the exhibit “The Steins Collect: Matisse, Picasso and the Parisian Avant-Garde.” It runs until June 3. If you go, I’d love to hear what you thought of the exhibit.
