During Art Walk Friday night, Vanessa Boyd performed several well known pieces as well as a series of compositions she has written over the last 20 years. They are a unique and delightful combination of Classical, Easy Listening, New Age and Pastoral genres. Many have been inspired by, and are evocative of, Acadia National Park and its many natural wonders.
Vanessa began playing the piano at age 5 and eventually earned a full music scholarship to the St. Louis Conservatory of Music where she focused on classical performance. Over the past 35 years, she has taught piano and written her own compositions.
September was the third Art Walk in Bar Harbor this season. Join us on October 3 for the fourth–and final–art walk in 2014.
