My Palette

This is the  first in a series of paintings about my technique. Today’s topic is about color.

I often paint with a very limited palette, and mix all the colors you see from just a few starting colors. In Black & White Butterfly, I only used Prussian Blue, Greenish Umber, Rose Violet and White in the background and the butterfly and plant.

Likewise, I only used a few shades of blue, orange and white in Blue Poppies.
